Yohana Parra Named Director of Latino Business Development

Parra brings deep community ties and a collaborative approach to strengthening business connections and opportunity.

Hillsboro, OR — The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Yohana Parra has stepped into the role of Director of Latino Business Development, effective January 2, 2026.

Parra previously served as the Chamber’s Director of Special Events, a role she has held since April 2025. Her transition into this position reflects the Chamber’s long-standing commitment to supporting Latino-owned businesses and ensuring dedicated leadership is in place to foster engagement, strengthen connections, and respond to the evolving needs of the business community. The Chamber has long recognized the importance of having a trusted, consistent presence focused on outreach and advocacy within the Latino business community.

In her new role, Parra will lead efforts to deepen engagement with Latino-owned small businesses, strengthen access to Chamber programs and resources, and expand opportunities for connection, education, and advocacy. Her work will focus on building meaningful relationships, increasing participation across Chamber initiatives, and ensuring business owners have clear pathways to the tools available and support needed for long-term success.

Through this role, Parra will work closely with Chamber leadership, members, and community partners to strengthen connections between Latino-owned small businesses and the resources, relationships, and networks that support long-term success.

“Yohana brings an incredible depth of experience, trust, and connection to this role,” said Josh Tompkins, President and CEO of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. “She understands the needs of our business community, and she leads with empathy, purpose, and a genuine commitment to service. This role reflects our long-standing commitment to supporting Latino-owned businesses, and we are excited to see Yohana continue to grow that work in this next chapter.”

Parra brings a strong background in community engagement, partnership development, and advocacy. Her work has been shaped by years of hands-on involvement with local organizations and business owners, as well as her experience supporting individuals and families through volunteer advocacy and mediation efforts. These experiences have informed her commitment to trust-building, equity, and culturally responsive engagement.

“I am honored to step into this role and continue serving our community,” said Parra. “Supporting Latino-owned businesses means listening, showing up, and being responsive as needs evolve. I’m excited to continue building relationships, connecting business owners to resources, and helping ensure they feel supported, informed, and empowered to succeed.”

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is committed to fostering an inclusive and thriving business environment and looks forward to the continued impact Parra will make through her leadership and dedication to the community.
