Small Business Entrepreneurial Council

The Chamber’s Small Business Entrepreneurial Council (SBEC) serves as a voice of small businesses in the greater Hillsboro area. The SBEC is an advisory committee to the Chamber’s leadership and the Mayor of the City of Hillsboro. The SBEC provides educational, advocacy and economic development connections tailored to the needs of small business owners and managers. The SBEC is committed to providing the best resources available in order to benefit your business, the Chamber and the community at large. All members of the Small Business Entrepreneurial Council are members of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce.

Membership:

The SBEC shall consist of 15 members serving 2-year terms beginning January 2013. At least 10 members of the SBC must be small business owners. Members of the SBEC represent businesses of 50 or fewer employees. The Washington County Chamber Board of Directors will be responsible to appoint SBEC members. Applications will be accepted annually in October for terms beginning on January 1.
