Hillsboro WORKS Summer Internships
The Hillsboro WORKS Internship program is your gateway to a bright future! With a focus on providing paid work experience to students and alumni aged 16-24, this program empowers you to gain hands-on experience while contributing to project-based work for companies in the Hillsboro community. By participating in this program, you not only develop your skills and knowledge but also become a part of the thriving Washington County community, making your mark on the world around you.
These paid opportunities include:
Project-Based Work – A meaningful project in addition to regular entry-level duties. This project should benefit the host site while allowing the intern to develop critical skills. The best projects will result in a product or outcome that will be resume-worthy and will help the intern develop the skills that they need to have to be great employees.
Professional Development – The WORKS interns will participate in a series of Professional Development opportunities to help build transferable skills for use in the future. From the Chamber’s Art of Effective Networking to workshops on applying for jobs, professional communication, and more, interns will learn the ins and outs of navigating professional settings.
