Announcement of Keynote Speaker, Anna Maria Ponzi

Hillsboro, OR – The Washington County Chamber of Commerce announces the 2024 Women’s Conference & Expo theme, “Breaking Barriers & Shaping the Future,” scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Embassy Suites Washington Square in Tigard. This event is produced by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Genentech. This empowering half-day conference, running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., is dedicated to supporting and uplifting women in business throughout Washington County, Oregon.

The event is open to all women and those who support women in Washington County and offers free admission to the public for the Expo from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., making it accessible to those interested in exploring, learning, and connecting.

This year’s conference will feature exhibitor booths, offering attendees unparalleled opportunities to network, discover new resources, and gain invaluable insights into advancing their careers, businesses, and as professionals.

The highlight of the conference will be the luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Anna Maria Ponzi, a trailblazer in the Oregon wine industry. With a life dedicated to elevating Oregon wine to a global stage, Ponzi has been at the forefront of innovation and leadership within the sector. From planting vineyards at a young age to transforming her family’s garage operation into an internationally acclaimed wine brand, her journey is one of perseverance, vision, and success. Ponzi’s keynote promises to inspire and motivate, drawing on her extensive experience to explore themes of meaning, intentionality, and leadership. Additionally, Ponzi authored the memoir, “Pinot Girl.”

Deanna Palm, President and CEO of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce shared her thoughts on this year’s conference, stating, “This year’s theme, ‘Breaking Barriers and Shaping the Future,’ is especially meaningful as we hold this conference during Women’s History Month.
