Chamber Events

We have several opportunities for veteran-owned businesses and supporters to get involved this November!

To kick off the celebration, join us at Résolu Cellars on November 2 for a networking event and an opportunity to learn more about the SBA’s Boots to Business program.

As part of our celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, veteran-owned businesses that are Chamber members also have the opportunity to be featured in a social media shoutout!
Last but not least, join us for the Washington County Veterans Day Celebration on November 11, from 11 AM to 12 PM, at 3450 NE Veterans Drive in Hillsboro. The ceremony will include the presentation of the colors, the National Anthem, recognition of veterans representing our Armed Forces, special guests and speakers, and a tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.
Interested in nominating a veteran from Washington County to be honored during the ceremony? Submit a nomination and learn more on the CMV Alliance website.

Veterans Business Advisory Council

The Veterans Business Advisory Council also invites Chamber members with a legacy of Veteran support to become involved – those include spouses of Veterans, military families, supporters and businesses providing special services to the Veteran community.

Benefits Include:

• New Relationships – Veteran members receive opportunities to create new valuable relationships within the community.
• Business Opportunities – Members further grow their businesses through Veteran interaction and presence within the Chamber.
• Professional Development & Education – Provide training and continuing education to members through Veteran service organizations.
• Veteran connections/opportunities – The Veterans Council helps identify unique connections and for Veterans and Veteran-owned businesses not available to traditional businesses. As a result of serving their country, Veterans are bestowed unique benefits and resource support through the business community.

The Veterans Business Advisory Council meets the last Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This Council is currently meeting in hybrid form with the in-person meeting held at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.
