Registration is now open for a free, one-day workshop for Washington County small business owners

WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR – DoorDash and the Washington County Chamber today opened registration for the Local Business Workshop — a free, one-day, in-person training on June 4 designed to help businesses grow.

The Workshop provides local small business owners with hands-on training on DoorDash tools and advertising, education on new AI-powered tools, direct connections to local business support organizations, and networking with peers all in a single day. It builds on DoorDash’s Accelerator for Local Businesses which has supported more than 400 small businesses nationwide since 2021.

The Workshop series is part of DoorDash’s Unlocking Main Street campaign, which aims to make it easier for small businesses to open and grow in the U.S.

“Our neighborhoods are only as strong as the local businesses that anchor them,” said Rob Harris, Hillsboro City Council President. “I hear from owners every day who want more support navigating what it takes to keep them running. That’s exactly what this Workshop from DoorDash and the Washington County Chamber is designed to do, and I’m glad the city of Hillsboro is a part of it.”

“The Washington County Chamber is proud to partner with DoorDash to provide meaningful opportunities for small businesses in Washington County,” said Jen Little, Vice President of Public Affairs for the Washington County Chamber. “Part of the Chamber’s mission is helping businesses thrive by connecting them to resources, education, and support systems that strengthen their long-term success. This workshop is a great example of that work in action.”

“We hear from small business owners all the time that they want to grow and they just need the right support in their corner,” said Kierra Phifer Head of West Public Policy for DoorDash. “This Workshop is our answer to that. By joining forces with the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, we’re able to offer local business owners hands-on training, real resources, and support for their success.”

Registration for the Washington County Workshop is now open. Eligible businesses must be independently owned, operate a brick-and-mortar storefront, and have three or fewer locations.
